Membership dues are based on the calendar year (January 1-December 31). Dues are prorated depending on when the application is received.
If you are a student member graduating soon or a recently graduated from a associate, baccalaureate, masters or doctoral graduation’s degree program in civil engineering or a related field, you may upgrade to professional membership by completing the online student upgrade form. Your upgrade is free, and you will begin paying dues on a sliding scale the year following your upgrade to professional membership.
ASCE also offers discounts for international members.
Affiliate members have an interest in advancing the purpose and objectives of ASCE and are not students or classically trained engineers or scientists.
Engineers must meet one of the following requirements to qualify for Associate Member.
Engineers who hold at least a 4 year degree in a civil or related engineering program OR are a certified Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Surveyor-in-Training (SIT).
International Members are those ASCE members who reside outside the USA.
